We love the Tiktok food trends that pop up and become viral food sensations from time to time. Like hot choco bombs, pancake cereal, or this tasty Tiktok tortilla wrap hack. The idea is simple, cut a slit into the Tortilla center and fill your favorite “toppings” or ingredients with each quarter. Then fold the triangles in each quarter into themselves until you have a layered wrap. You should then, as we did to make it warm and toasty, use a panini press to toast it or place it over the griddle.

After a little bit of searching, we found out that this TikTok trend was first started by a user named @ellcarter1. The wrap hack is now a mega thing, and hundreds of wrap hacks have come up!
Anyway, the wrap hack is essentially the smartest way to render a wrap if you haven’t seen it. You make a cut down to one edge from the center of the Tortilla, fill the various quadrants with fillings, and fold it all up into a neat triangle that can be eaten or grilled accordingly. We don’t know about you, but they burst or occasionally break when many of us try to make wraps. Since it’s not a stretched wrap, there’s no risk of it. How to Hack the Wrap
- On a cutting board, lay out the Tortilla. Take a knife and cut the Tortilla from the core down to the side.
- Imagine the division of the Tortilla into four quadrants or quarters. Insert each quadrant with a different ingredient.
- Fold the wrap-up starting from the lower left quarter, fold it up over the upper left, fold it down to the top right, and then fold it down to the bottom right.
- You can enjoy it just like that or grill it in a Panini press or pan.

- Prepare the ingredients: cook some taco seasoning on the ground beef, shred the lettuce, and cut the tomatoes.
- Cut the Tortilla out: Put the Tortilla on a cutting board. Take a knife and cut the Tortilla from the core down to the side.

Here is our version, influenced by Mexican cuisine. We used corn, refried beans, carnitas, guacamole, cheese, and salsa from Mexico. Honestly, there isn’t the perfect way to make the fillings for this wrap, as we described above. It is very open-ended on what you love to eat or have lying around!
After the toppings were layered and the Tortilla rolled up, we rubbed both sides with olive oil and cooked each side over a griddle pan for several minutes over low heat. It’s that! Wouldn’t that make a yummy snack for kids? We can’t wait to try more combinations of flavors!

Tiktok Wrap Hack
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 6 large corn or flour tortillas ~10”, flour preferred
- 1.5 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced regular tomatoes or quartered cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 18 tortilla chips or as desired
Instructions
- Preparing taco beef: Brown the beef over medium-high heat in a frying pan until browned and cooked through. If needed, drain off any excess fat. Incorporate the ingredients and stir in. Taste and season with pepper and salt. Set aside and let it rest.
- Proceed to make the wrap: on a cutting board, lay the Tortilla down. Cut a line from the middle to the bottom edge of the Tortilla with a knife’s help.
- Start adding shredded lettuce and tomatoes from the lower left quarter: Spread on some sour cream and finish with tortilla chips on the top left portion. Sprinkle some cheese on the upper right quarter and add some ground beef. Finally, add some more cheese on it for the last quarter.
- Begin from the corner on the bottom left and fold it up to the top left.
- Fold it to the upper right, then.
- Fold it down to the lower right, eventually.
- Grill until the Tortilla is crispy and the cheese melts, flip it once, let each side grilled for 3-4 minutes per side on a skillet over medium heat. Enjoy!
